EASTPAK PHOTOSHOOT No.2.

Update: Head over to Your Collective here to see the shoot I did for EASTPAK and read the article. Tweet me at @sunnyxlau or leave a comment down below and let me know what you think.
What do you do on a Friday night with some Eastpak gear, James Kumar from Your Collective, and yours truly with a camera? We of course went out and shot some new images for Eastpak’s new product. Despite the weather being a little bit cold and wet, I used that to my advantage. This is the second time that I had the pleasure shooting for Eastpak.
I always wanted to shoot at night, but never in the rain, but somehow it all came together pretty well, using the reflective surfaces of the roads to provide us with some nice vibrant colors, light, and textures. We ended up shooting in 3 different locations, and one of them being in The Wine Vaults in Albert Road.
Check out the images below of some BTS images taken sparingly throughout the night with the trusty iPhone 4S and some from the iPhone 5.
A big thanks and shoutout to Eastpak, James Kumar, Your Collective and VICE for setting this up. Check back to this post and I’ll update when the images goes live.
James Kumar setting up the ambiance with the lights for our quick briefing.
Lighting up.
Heading out to our first location. Bad picture is bad…
Our ride.
I think it has become tradition that every time I am on a shoot, it rains…
Our second location, no coincidence, we ended up shooting in The Wine Vaults pub…
… and James and Jacob ended up having a pint and taking a break, I was on the Lemonade.
First attempt of self portraiture with the crew.
Jacob (red) and James (black) sporting the Vans 106 and Authentic footware.
Here’s James working his charm with the ladies, I mean, who wouldn’t, right?!
Obligatory “the face behind the camera” shot with the minimal crew behind.
Readers, meet Jacob. Jacob meet the readers. Image courtesy of James Kumar, taken on an iPhone 5.
A picture of me taken by James of me unwittingly, taking a picture of James. Mind. Blown. Image courtesy of James Kumar, taken on an iPhone 5.
And on our way to our last location for the evening.
That’s a wrap. Keep an eye out for the finished shoot.

On 21st of April 2012, it was Record Store Day all over the country and world. The day was comprised of the love of live music from, B of The Bang, Andrew Forster and more. I was asked by the great guys at Your Collective (VICE Magazine) to shoot the event which they wrote a feature on. Head over to Your Collective to see more images and read about the event here.
